About Me

I completed the Institute of Leadership Management (ILM) Level 7 Certificate in Executive Coaching and Mentoring in May 2010. This was shortly after I took voluntary redundancy from my job as a senior manager in the public sector.

Coaching had helped me a lot in my job. I found that by taking a more collaborative approach, staff were much happier, felt more in control and were more innovative and productive. I knew that this was an area that I wanted to develop and have been fortunate in that I now have the opportunity to concentrate on this full-time.

I am a member of the Life Coach Directory, the recognised professional body for business coaches.

My other qualifications include a BA in Social Science, an MA in Housing Studies, an IDeA Certificate in Leadership and the Professional Qualification in the Therapeutic Use of Mindfulness

I have coached clients in numerous areas but tend to concentrate on business, career, well-being and work-life balance issues, as well as those affecting young adults.

I have done volunteer work for the Careers Development Group where I provided coaching to long-term job seekers, helping them to improve their confidence and motivation, their CVs and interview skills. I have also volunteered providing support to migrants with similar issues.

I am a member of the European Mentoring & Coaching Council (EMCC). This, together with my own research, enables me to keep up to date with developments in the coaching world, and to learn from the experience of others.
